Invited by ECAL's Cinema department, Argentine director Alejo Moguillansky presents a Masterclass on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.
Born in 1978 in Buenos Aires, Alejo Moguillansky is an Argentine director, producer, screenwriter and editor. His films have gained worldwide recognition, premiering at prestigious festivals including the Berlinale, the Venice Mostra and the Cannes Film Festival. He has worked as an editor for several Argentine filmmakers, including Santiago Mitre, Laura Citarella and Hugo Santiago.
In addition to his work as a filmmaker, Alejo Moguillansky is a professor at the Universidad Di Tella in Buenos Aires. He is also a film critic and director of the VECINE independent film festival in Buenos Aires. Together with filmmakers Mariano Llinas, Laura Citarella and Augustin Mendilaharzu, he founded El Pampero Cine, a filmmakers' collective that has produced numerous films since it was founded some twenty years ago.
