Carolina Cavalli is an Italian director and screenwriter based in Milan. Her first feature film, Amanda (2022), was selected for the Venice Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), and was nominated for Best First Film at various Italian film awards, including the David di Donatello. Recently, she co-wrote the film Fremont (2023), directed by Iranian filmmaker Babak Jalali, selected for the Sundance and SXSW Film Festivals. The film was nominated for a British Independent Film Award (BIFA) in the “Best International Film” category. His next film, The Kidnapping of Arabella, is currently in production.
