Raphaël de la Morinerie – Constellation

“Constellation” is a typographic family. Through this design project, I offer my formal view on so-called text fonts. I have defined it thanks to two complementary axes: weight and expressiveness.

“Kateka” and “Astra” are built on detailed brutality, while “Maluma” and “Gaya” are more intuitive, with round and organic shapes. “Astra” was designed to highlight the cold elegance of light styles, while “Gaya” was designed to underline the warm expression of bold cuts.
