Focusing in the symbolism of the house as a concept, I decided to approach a particular phenomena linked to it: the entrance of consumer goods in this private sphere and the human behaviour produced by comfort improvement. Plain Vanilla is a photographic project where objects and textures describe a state of mind, the one of a generation axed on a materialistic idea of wellness. It depicts a domestic ludic universe where reality, desire, fantasy, idealisation and disappointment co-exist all together.
