“Mountain imagery is one of the most powerful and prolific in the history of nature representation. It seems to leave nobody indifferent. There you retreat, you purify and you arise, or you lose your mind and fall down a cliff, foaming at the mouth and crazy-eyed. Nevertheless, since I grew up in the Swiss mountains, I feel differently. The point of my diploma work, a short movie about ten minutes long, is to shove this thick metaphysic of sight and show the Alps in a new light.“
