For this new collaboration with Christofle, the students of the Master of Advanced Studies in Design for Luxury and Craftsmanship had the opportunity to work on different tableware. From a champagne bucket to a water jug or a tea set, the selected projects were prototyped in silver by the famous manufacturer.
Collaboration (2009) by Tomas Kral, Samuel Arredondo, Delphine Frey
Delphine Frey's "Pleat" champagne bucket was inspired by an aesthetic from the world of fashion: the pleat. Following numerous tests, the final project represents a container with the appearance of pleated paper, deformed in places by the weight of a bottle and its ice cubes.
"Float" is a coffee set designed by Slovakian student Tomas Kral, who was inspired by the gentle movement of floating or swaying. The idea was to create a real interaction between the pots and the tray, so that the containers could appear to be floating as if they were resting on the surface of the water.
For "Twin" by Samuel Arredondo, the different pieces that make up the tea set are doubled to multiply the reflections in the silver but also to allow use on both sides of the service.
