Loris Wahler – Altered Pursuit

by Loris Wahler

For my graduation project, I decided to focus on movement through a music video clip. The intention is to use the graphic skills acquired during my years at ECAL in order to enhance an emotion transposed into music. The theme of the clip is centred around the idea of a race that repeats itself in different universes. By playing with these elements, a narrative is woven between the protagonist and his surrounding environment. The character used in the clip is a “bootleg” of the famous Disney character, Mickey. The intention is to use a character known to all in a radically different universe in order to be able to accentuate the dystopian side of the music.
