L10n is an independent web platform and magazine allowing the geolocation of a quality but non-mediatised movement. It supports artists and aims to compensate for social inequalities.
Our society is becoming increasingly post-cultural. Borders, both cultural and geographical, are becoming obsolete. This vision is utopian in the music world, even more so in the so-called mainstream hip-hop genre. Artists do not have the same opportunities in different cultures. As a result, they cannot impact the world to the same extent. Switzerland suffers from this despite its particular style and sound.
For its first issue, L10n sought to document and question the stylistic and cultural mixes in hip-hop in French-speaking Switzerland.
