Villa Trudy

Lisa Grobet – Villa Trudy

Listening to the walls, perceiving the imprints they bear, remembering the ghosts of the past.
Villa Trudy, in Sardinia, is a house marked by the passage of many lives. A father teaching his son to swim, this son becoming a father in turn. The walls bear witness to the changes and traces left by our ancestors. They observe the events that unfold within the house, but remain passive. In a way, they are the guardians of the place, witnesses of an invisible absence. Through sensitive intervention on the remnants of the place, this book aspires to become, in turn, the guardian of memories that would otherwise no longer be tangible, offering a new form of transmission.
This project pays tribute to the soul of Villa Trudy by preserving its heritage.
